Great Moments in Australian TV

Ladies and gentlemen, as proof that anything can be found on YouTube we give you the greatest supermarket chain ever, Tuckerbag.

0.00 - This is Mrs. Jackson. She makes her entrance to the wonkiest slide whistle this side of a Marx Brothers movie.

0.06 - Approaching what appears to be a completely unguarded register Mrs. Jackson has two options. She can either stay and wait for somebody to serve her or she can run like buggery and hope that security is lax. Like a complete peanut she stays and is greeted by...

A talking paper bag! Fuck the environment, this is progress!

0.19 - Before the bag, shaking like it's either got a serious case of Parkinsons or there's a puppeteer with a hand fair up it's clack, lets us in a variety of unrealistically low prices. 89c for biscuits? FTW!

Hullo Tucker!

Was "Hello Tucker" already copyrighted?

And while we all know that Tuckerbag was consigned to the tip when IGA came along, what we're asking is what happened to Mrs. Jackson.

Back to the Future

Hi, remember me? I'm that slightly abnormal guy who has been writing complete bollocks under this blog name since October 2002. Remember 2002? I don't.

Anyway, The Supermercado Project has been hosted on BBVZ.com for the last couple of years. Now it turns out that domain has expired, and I haven't heard anything from the owner. SO, until normal service resumes - or forever if it doesn't - this blog will be hosted here. Readjust your bookmarks accordingly. Obviously http://supermercado.tv will still work (otherwise you probably wouldn't be here...) so just keep following that and no matter where we end up on this big flat, mysterious, crazy country that we call the internet you'll be with us.

For now I'm not going to bother uploading the archives, but if there's a particular post request that you have then fire away.

Good? Good.
