Blogging Retro

Now, I know TSP has pretty much died in the arse. No, really - you're too kind but it has. However if I'm ever seen using the term 'blogosphere' and trying to pass it off as a legitimate word please stab me in the ear with a knitting needle. I'm still bitter than Wide World of Blog never got up.

It struck me today just how many of the blogs I read a few years ago have died in the arse. For me the golden era peaked the night that every man and their dog who was of any interest in the Melbourne blogo... hold on Wide World of Blog.. got together and got massacred a few years ago. Those were the days my friends. THOSE WERE THE F'ING DAYS.

Is it that some people found that life got in the way of blogging? Or that they were desperately using blogging as an output because they had nothing else to concentrate their energies on and now they've found something, or someone, or whatever?

Or am I just crapping on about myself, and should just go back to hanging out the washing and vacuuming the hall while working my way through a large stack of assorted 7"s?

It's Just like Charlotte Perrelli said in her 2008 Eurovision entry "Everything Has A Beginning, Everything Comes To An End".

Speaking of Eurovision, What happened to your eurovision review.

Last year's Eurovision disgusted me so much

And what's the point now when there's 120 rounds and the voting is as rigged as buggery? I watched half of the Saturday semi and gave up.

You've gone and made me all nostalgic now. Wah.

But as Mr Stockselius said on the big night, "Voting is the most exciting part of Eurovision!" Watching the same countries voting for each other year after year regardless of the slop they offered up is part of the tradition; like the turning of autumn's leaves, if the leaves were covered in glitter and slightly uncoordinated.

It was charming when Cyprus did it for Greece. Now when it's Russia and every country that they once drove a tank through is indebted to vote for them it's less so.

Your blog went down hill when you stopped posting about SMFC, it lost a lot of pride and passion!
